Jurassic World Evolution 3 - 1.0.4 Update Notes

Hello, Park Managers!

Happy launch day! We're very excited for you to experience everything Jurassic World Evolution 3 has to offer, and to see your incredible parks! Naturally, we want to ensure you have the best experience possible with Jurassic World Evolution 3, so we're rolling out a Day One Patch with some adjustments to general gameplay, animations, and overall stability.

Key Changes

  • Medium and large sized carnivores can now terrorize much quicker when they have access to guests
  • Guest, vehicle and dinosaur route finding has been improved to allow more navigation over partially embedded scenery items, and underneath scenery items of an appropriate height
  • Improved collision on large scenery rocks and auto-generated rocks within environment brushes
  • Enabled players to override the object collision on/off setting in some situations where this was locked
  • Fixed rare issue causing the 'Continue' and 'Load Game' options to not appear

Bug Fixes

Campaign

  • Fixed occasional crash when restarting a failed park
  • Resolved a low frequency crash when loading back in to the Montana campaign mission during the tutorial
  • Removed blocker in the Montana campaign mission caused by saving just before completing the 'Exit the Maintenance Team ATV' objective
  • Fixed crash in Hawaii campaign mission caused by selecting a dinosaur just as Ranger teams become available
  • Resolved an issue which could cause dig sites to not unlock correctly in the Hawaii campaign Mission
  • Fixed Nevada campaign mission's time of day permanently changing when changing the setting in Capture Mode

Challenge

  • Fixed crash when loading into completed challenge parks

Dinosaurs

  • Resolved rare issue where dinosaurs could walk through fences
  • Fixed crash when creating a breeding programme for Compsognathus'
  • Updated release animation for Baryonyx with the Chaos skin cosmetic
  • Fixed occasional issue causing dinosaurs to be invisible after being released from a hatchery
  • Updated some animations when transitioning from swimming to walking
  • Updated Nodosaurus' database entry with with correct co-existing preferences
  • Medium and large sized carnivores can now terrorize much quicker when they have access to guests

Localisation

  • Various localisation fixes, including subtitle edits and translation of newly added lines

Management

  • Fixed issue where Fossil Extraction would only increase Genomes to a maximum of 99%

Park Construction

  • Resolved an occasional crash when pressing Ctrl + Z while scaling a group of objects
  • Fixed an occasional crash when pressing confirm after scaling an object
  • Fixed crash when attempting to place a Marketplace Facility
  • Fixed crash when attempting to duplicate foundation pieces
  • Fixed crash when switching between scenery and blueprints during modular construction
  • Fixed crash when repeatedly undoing and redoing a lagoon or aviary hatchery placement
  • Fixed crash caused by connecting ziplines while moving an entire zipline building
  • Resolved rare crash that could occur when undoing and redoing a land hatchery deletion
  • Fixed issue where player would be kicked from build mode when moving or duplicating more than one scenery piece
  • Updated tour track settings to allow toggling of terrain modification while being placed
  • Guest, vehicle and dinosaur route finding has been improved to allow more navigation over partially embedded scenery items, and underneath scenery items of an appropriate height
  • Enabled players to override the object collision on/off setting in some situations where this was locked
  • Turned collision off by default for certain scenery objects and blueprints to improve guest and vehicle navigation
  • Improved collision on large scenery rocks and auto-generated rocks within environment brushes
  • Updated several blueprints

Stability

  • Various performance and stability improvements
  • Resolved instances of flickering seen in Hawaii when the camera is close to the ground
  • (PC Only) Fixed flickering seen on waterfalls when using specific GPUs
  • Fixed crash when playing for over 4 hours continuously on Nevada campaign mission
  • Fixed rare crash when placing down a medium amenity in the Montana campaign mission
  • Fixed rare issue causing the 'Continue' and 'Load Game' options to not appear
  • Improved visual effect of shorelines
  • Resolved a rare crash when saving the game just before synthesis of a male Maiasaura finishes

UI

  • Resolved rare softlock when opening the research menu and pause menu at the same time
  • Fixed inability to discard all eggs in a hatchery
  • Resolved rare crash when opening and closing construction menus in quick succession
  • Fixed an issue where selecting the Velociraptor model in the hatchery stopped all other dinosaur models from appearing

Workshop

  • Fixed inability to change workshop pages when updating an existing creation
  • Resolved indefinite loading when attempting to preview a Community Creation after disconnecting from the network
  • Fixed issue where thumbnails would not load in the in-game Community Creations panel
