Park Manager’s Toolbox - Island Generator

Welcome Park Managers,

New for Jurassic World Evolution 3, the Island Generator for Sandbox mode is a fantastic tool that gives you the ability to create an infinite number of unique islands.

Today we’re going to explore the key components of the Island Generator, show off a few of our own official creations from the Workshop and give you some inspiration for where to get started!

Features

Introduced in Update 1.2, there are 4 different biomes Park Managers can use when generating an island:

• Tropical
• Temperate
• Desert
• Mediterranean

By adjusting a slider, you have control over a number of different aspects of your generated island, including:

• Shape – the density of land mass, from large island to several connected smaller islands.
• Trees – the amount and density of foliage.
• Water – the amount of shallow and deep water.
• Mountains – the number of inclines and their steepness.
• Beaches – the amount of sand along the coastline, creating beaches.

All of these elements of your island are editable after you have generated it, so if something is not quite how you like it, don’t worry! Use the terrain tools and foliage brushes to tweak everything to your liking, including the Biome Dynamic Foliage & rocks to decorate the island quickly.

To fully decorate your island, scenery items can be placed along beaches and cliffs, just as you would on a standard map. This allows for complete customisation beyond only buildings and enclosures.

Each generated island also has its own Island DNA code, letting you share the seed and settings of your island. This is perfect for Park Managers who want to share their creations or are looking for a base to start from when building their island.

Islands can also be uploaded to the Frontier Workshop, letting Park Managers add scenery and infrastructure to their islands before uploading for other players to use.

Island Generator Build Ideas

Recreate Jurassic World

Recreate Jurassic World as it was supposed to be before the Indominus Rex incident! Complete with Dinosaur Encounters, a Mosasaurus lagoon and Gyrosphere field, see how close you can get to the iconic dinosaur park.

We’d recommend using the Tropical biome for this generated island.

• Classic Jurassic World Gateway
• Amenity Signs – For your main street filled with Guest shops

Island Getaway

Build a dream island getaway for your guests and your dinosaurs! With plenty of attractions & places to spend money in this island paradise, you'll keep your guests happy and your dinosaurs well cared for.

We’d recommend using the Tropical or Mediterranean biome for this generated island.

• Hotels
• Balloon Tour
• Cretaceous Cruise
• Amphitheatre
• Shopping, Food & Drink Amenities
• Scenery Guest Seating
• Circle Scenery Pool

Nature Reserve

Allow your dinosaurs to roam free in their environment with minimal human interference on an isolated island nature reserve. Place staff buildings and hidden viewing galleries to make sure the few guests you have don’t disturb these prehistoric animals.

Check out the Wetlands Pack and unearth 3 new dinosaur family units, including the Irritator, and a selection of swamp & bayou inspired scenery items perfect for a nature reserve island.

We’d recommend using the Desert or Mediterranean biome for this generated island.
