A Global Campaign
Welcome Park Managers,
Today we’ll be taking a closer look at Jurassic World Evolution 3’s campaign, including the people and organisations you’ll be working with as you help life find a way around the globe.
The Dinosaur Integration Network
Throughout the course of Jurassic World Evolution 3 you’ll be working with the Dinosaur Integration Network (DIN) to provide support for different dinosaur facilities around the world.
In the wake of dinosaurs’ re-introduction into the wild, many countries, organisations and people across the globe have struggled to adjust to the presence of these magnificent prehistoric animals. While some have worked to integrate dinosaurs peacefully into the global ecosystems, others have treated them as a security threat or sought to exploit these animals for their own gain.
With a keen eye for business, Cabot Finch, Managing Director (and familiar face to fans of the previous games), has identified a gap in the market and setup DIN in response to the mass of dinosaurs struggling to integrate into the modern world.
As you work with DIN, you’ll visit sites around the world, from struggling dinosaur theme parks to secure storage facilities, helping them to find a sustainable solution to their dinosaur problems.
With new innovations in genetic engineering enabling the synthesis of male dinosaurs and natural breeding, it certainly appears DIN (and you) will have your hands full as they navigate this volatile Jurassic World.
Choosing Your Path
Throughout the campaign, you'll be working closely with consultants from three different Sectors, who'll be keen to see their interests considered when it comes to any decision making.
First of all, we have George Lambert, the Regulator for Security. When it comes to the safety of your guests, and dinosaurs, he'll be on hand to provide any guidance. The Security Sector will place a focus on minimising the risk of escapes, the spread of diseases and other incidents that could be detrimental to the health of your guests or dinosaurs.
Then there's Dr Kajal Dua, the contact for the Conservationist Sector. She'll want to see you prioritise your dinosaurs' welfare and focus on setting up breeding programs. Raising juvenile dinosaurs, increasing the size of your dinosaur families and meeting your animal’s needs will all improve your standing with the Conservationist Sector.
Finally, there’s Isaac Clement, the liaison for the Entertainment Sector. There's a lot of exciting attractions you can bring into your sites, which can give you a higher reputation with the Entertainment Sector.
As you work with these different sectors, your decisions will impact your parks, opening up some exciting opportunities. These include completing contracts which provide in-game rewards on completion and access to different types of research. However, you can’t please everyone, and you’ll have to choose between which Sectors offer the most value to you and your playstyle.
Building a Jurassic World
Over the course of Jurassic World Evolution 3’s campaign, you’ll be working with a variety of different clients on their specific needs to ensure the success of their sites.
Some require a focus on breeding programs or managing disease outbreaks, whilst others might have specific interests in flying reptiles or marine species
Your role will extend beyond managing just a single park – working at sites across multiple continents and with various teams – so it will be more than just dinosaurs you'll have to manage. Managing an international network, means you’ll also have to manage the research, money and reputation across all your parks.
Running multiple sites does have its benefits though. As your skillset and research grows, you'll be able to freely travel between all locations, keeping them up to date with the best technologies and dinosaurs that you've discovered.
While these sites are gorgeous and offer strikingly different visuals, they each also have their own challenges you’ll have to overcome. From rounding up and housing escaped flying reptiles, to saving a failed dinosaur park from bankruptcy, you’ll have to flex your management muscles to bring these parks back from the brink.
As you assist these sites and achieve their varied goals, you’ll unlock new locations to visit and challenges to overcome – including new Challenge Mode levels and scenery items. Be careful though, success brings its own troubles and not everyone shares DIN’s vision for dinosaurs…
Evolving the Campaign
For Jurassic World Evolution 3’s campaign we’ve listened to some of the biggest requests from the community, returning to the open, multi-park structure of the original game’s campaign and building on the team’s experience creating Jurassic World Evolution 2’s Malta campaign.
There’s plenty to experience across the campaign and we can’t wait for you to get your hands on Jurassic World Evolution 3 come 21 October.
Jurassic World Evolution 3 is available to pre-order now on Steam, Epic, Windows Store, Xbox X/S and PlayStation 5 and will launch on 21 October.
