Dinosaur Showcase: Patagotitan
Introducing the Patagotitan, one of the largest creatures to ever walk the Earth! This gentle giant boasts an incredibly long lifespan, making it a lasting presence in any park in Jurassic World Evolution 3.
Notable characteristics:
- Socialises well with other herbivores, including ankylosaurids, in mixed enclosures.
- Patagotitan will be protective and nurturing towards juveniles in the herd.
- Favours a mix of cover and pasture terrain for easy access to food and space to roam.
Named for the South American region they were first found, Patagotitans are titanosaurian sauropods. The first evidence of their existence was a fragment of a femur bone, discovered by Aurelio Hernandez in 2010.
They can measure up to 30 metres in length and weigh as much as 50 tonnes when they are fully grown. Roaming the earth in the Cretaceous period, Patagotitan had a long lifespan of around 50 years. They prefer wide open spaces of pasture with areas of cover where they can browse tall trees and low plants for food.
Despite their size, Patagotitans are peaceful by nature, coexisting calmly with other herbivores, with their young often exhibiting gregarious behaviour. They will nest in groups and are slow to breed making every new arrival a rare and momentous event. This makes the Patagotitan a strong favourite among visiting guests.
Massive. Majestic. Built to endure. The Patagotitan is the ultimate titan for parks that think big.
