Industry Sectors - Discover the industries working with DIN
You’ll learn quickly as a Park Manager at the Dinosaur Integration Network that there are plenty of opinions about how dinosaurs should live in our modern world.
It’ll be your job to fulfil the needs of our clients, all while the sectors vie for your interest, whether they’re looking to build a commercially successful park, a safe haven or a secure facility for dinosaurs. If you impress, you’ll secure DIN further funding and develop a partnership with each sector, allowing us to share technology and expertise.
The Entertainment Sector
Inspired by the work of John Hammond and Simon Masrani, the Entertainment sector wants to show off how majestic prehistorical animals can be.
While they aren’t as intent on sheltering dinosaurs as the Conservation sector, they do lean in favour of peaceful coexistence with humans and dinosaurs. Education is just as important to them as entertainment, as they’d like to show the public that dinosaurs don’t need to be a threat.
Whether your client is aspiring to build a Park bigger and better (and significantly less bite-y) than Jurassic World or creating an interesting and entertaining living exhibit, like the site in the Azores, the Entertainment sector will want you to focus on the spectacle of dinosaurs.
The Security Sector
The Security sector is generally very practical in their stance on modern dinosaurs. Now that our prehistoric neighbours are roaming internationally, their focus is on keeping humans and dinosaurs safe.
Often called in to deal with cases of escaped or wild dinosaurs that international governments can’t manage, such as one of the many roadside attractions across the USA, this sector will expect you to build parks where safety is the priority. They still have a great deal of respect for dinosaurs... just from behind a tall fence, instead of up close and personal.
The Conservation Sector
Building on the work done by organisations like the Dinosaur Protection Group, the Conservation sector’s focus is on the ethical treatment and protection of dinosaurs globally.
Their belief is that dinosaurs should be afforded the respect and care of any other animal. From the plans for a giant dinosaur park in China to small private operations in Malta, this sector will encourage you to build sanctuaries where these animals can thrive, sheltered from too much interference by humans.
Now that dinosaurs are here, the Conservation sector believes we should encourage their natural behaviours, including their instinct to breed. As you help this sector develop flourishing habitats, make sure to build facilities that support new, younger additions to their parks.

Make sure to study up on these sectors and foster a good relationship with them. Each sector will have an interest in every client you help. It is up to you what advice you take and how you best meet the client’s needs – although remember, you can’t keep everyone happy at once!
