DIN Staff Files - Get to know the Maintenance Team

Hello DIN employees!

In an effort to make sure all our teams get to know each other we’re starting a little series, so you learn a bit about what your co-workers do in an average day.
We’re starting with a member of our Maintenance Team, Sally.

“The average day of the Maintenance team? Well, that really depends on what park you’re working in! I work out of our DIN site in Montana where we’ve just had a new Park Manager join the company.

As long as everything goes to plan, most of the work we do centres around assessing the park regularly. We patrol around our Maintenance Posts, making quick repairs to fences & buildings that need it, as well resupplying food and fuel around the park.

Sometimes we get called into jobs outside of our standard rounds. Recently our Park Manager needed us to fix up a T. rex Paddock after there was an escape! The fencing was badly damaged, so the animal was able to find a weak point and break out. Once they had been recaptured, the Maintenance team was called in to fix up the damage, so it was secure for the T. rex’s return.

That’s why our regular patrols are so important. We try our best to spot any repairs before the worst happens... Probably best we don’t get into what the ‘worst’ could be in our line of work!”
